I had a great time at Badlands National Park in South Dakota. It was definitely one of my favorite parks throughout my 2 week, 6500 mile road trip I took back in September and October of 2010.
This photo in particular was taken on the drive out of the Badlands. We arrived at the Badlands around noon, so light wasn’t the greatest. I had to work with what I had, though, so this is what I got. I tried to capture a little foreground to give the image a bit of depth, but in my eyes it’s a bit too busy; I would have liked something more simple.
Shot on a tripod with my Nikon D300s and the Tokina 11-16mm lens. I love that lens.
