Long Exposure Photography: 21 Remarkable Photos
Here I have put together an article containing 21 remarkable long exposure photos from photographers all around the world. I want to share their photos and showcase their skills because they deserve it.
I love doing posts like these. Searching and browsing through tons of great photos is so inspirational. Hopefully you do, too cuz there’s some great photos ahead!
But First a Few Thoughts on Long Exposures
I’ve dabbled in night photography myself, and it’s no easy task. It requires a lot of patience because you can’t simply take a picture and look at it on your LCD screen right away. Sometimes you have to wait over 5 minutes. Not only that, but metering at night is pretty much useless IMO.
Recommended gear for great night photos:
- Tripod!!! A good carbon fiber tripod at that!
- Remote Shutter Release to reduce risk vibrations
- Flashlight(s) for light painting
- Steel wool and a 9-volt battery if your feeling risky
- Common sense if you actually do whats in the link above
- Patience and time
- A good night photography book
Oh, and a tripod is a definite must. I don’t care what Ken Rockwell says.
