Out Of This World

Here are three more shots of the Badlands that have been sitting on my hard drive since the end of September of last year.  I finally got around to editing them after being unhappy with the way they turned out.

These were all edited in Lightroom 3, and I used a special mixture of settings to bring out as much detail as possible in the dry, cracked mud.  I played around with the colors to give it a more bold, “out of this world” look using the “Camera Calibration” panel of Lightroom 3.  Still undecided on the look.

I really want to take another trip over to the Badlands.  Such an awesome place.
